The Man Polls Well
An Associated Press/GfK poll finds 65% believe Obama will be an "above average" president. 28% think he will be "outstanding." In earlier pre-inaugural polls, 47% believed George W. Bush would be "above average", 56% thought so for Clinton. Conducted Jan. 9-14; error margin 3.1 points. Click here for more poll results.
Heading Back to the Buckeye State
The president-elect is traveling to Bedford Heights, Ohio to meet with workers and discuss his stimulus plan. Will tour the Cardinal Fastener & Specialty Company, which manufactures parts used for wind turbines, then speak with workers. More details here. Holder Hearings Continue Friday
Obama's nominee for attorney general goes before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a second day. Friday's hearing features former FBI Director Freeh, who supports Holder despite disagreements during the Clinton years. Former Bush homeland security adviser Frances Townsend also speaks on Holder's behalf.
Kaufman to be Sworn In Friday
Biden staffer Ted Kaufman replaces the incoming VP as a Delaware Senator at 11 am ET Friday. The VP-elect will also attend the ceremony.
Obama Interviews With CNN Friday
The president-elect sits down with CNN's John King Friday. Interview will air during "The Situation Room" at 4 pm ET.
